City to be commended

Editor:

No hoops - yes!

Thank you, Brentwood, for taking the stand against cars, boats, garbage cans and hoops. Being good neighbors, we do not complain and we like the kids but not when they chase basketballs through our yard, step on landscaping, break landscape lights (I assume we're liable if someone gets hurt on our property), dodge children in the street, see litter that appears only around the hoop, hear the bouncing of the ball at 10:30 at night and so on. We love our neighbors but could do without the hoop. Whatever happened to the back yard or a park? Brentwood is growing and just about every subdivision has a beautiful park. Why don't the residents utilize them? If the residents don't want their children at the parks alone, they should go with them and have some family fun.

So thank you again, Brentwood, for taking a stand to present our community in its best light.

Sincerely,

Carole Hutchinson
