Vickey Rinehart painted the curb red in preparation for the first day of school. But she wasn't the only can-do person to help bring perfection to the first day of classes at Knightsen School.

Several parents and teachers put in time to make things just right for Knightsen students. Account Clerk Cindy Eckl and new Business Manager Liz Robbins blew up balls for the playground. Lynn Gursky, Principal Theresa Estrada and former teacher Barry Montgomery helped prepare the classroom that Mr. Jones would have taught. A full 20 of the 23 teachers relocated their classrooms within the campus, helping each other whenever they could to get the job done. It was like an orchestra playing together in perfect rhythm.

Knightsen School welcomed seven new teachers this year. Superintendent Rinehart expressed her belief that Knightsen School staff, parents and community members stand out in East County with overwhelming support and involvement for each other and the school.
