The PIZZAZZ Event Center and Coffee Bar is sponsoring a full day of activities and fun for all ages on Saturday to kick off its presence in downtown Antioch.

"Our grand opening will be a taster to future events at PIZZAZZ," said owner Sandra Moore.

The festivities will begin with the coffee bar opening at 8 a.m. followed by children's events, including a petting zoo, jumpy, face painting, video demonstration and more.

Teens will have the opportunity to show off their dance talents with a chance to win $100.

The festivities for children 21 and over begin at 5 p.m. with a $7 cover. The evening will feature hors d'oeuvres, a no-host bar, comedy, poetry, dance demonstrations, a jazz concert and dancing through the night.

"Daytime PIZZAZZ will attract people to the Antioch waterfront by offering small business workshops and community education," said Kathie Campbell, event manager, Event Planning Plus. "Our scenic downtown Antioch location offers a great place to walk around to visit quaint shops and unique stores after a meaningful class at PIZZAZZ."

Future PIZZAZZ entertainment includes salsa nights, standup comedy competitions, New Orleans jazz and the Youth in Action talent and fashion show. For more information, visit www.pizzazzeventcenter.com.
