As part of its ongoing commitment to the community, the Bank of Agriculture & Commerce (BAC) has recently changed its name to ECC Bank, a division of Bank of Agriculture & Commerce.

Open for business since l965, the bank's roots in the community run deep. The five branches in Antioch, Brentwood, Concord, Discovery Bay and Oakley will enjoy the new designation, while the BAC branches in San Joaquin and Stanislaus counties will retain the Bank of Agriculture and Commerce name. Customers of all branches will have the advantage of using both banks to conduct their banking transactions.

For customers, the name change will have little impact, said William R. Trezza, Bank President. But for the bank, the new moniker will reflect the area's strong heritage, and the company's dedication to the future of East County, as both the newest and oldest community bank.

"This begins an exciting new chapter in the history of the bank," said Trezza. "The new ECC Bank will continue striving to meet the needs of its customers, supporting the local communities and caring about its employees as BAC has done for more than 40 years."
