Of the five races on the program, the point leaders in the division emerged with four main event victories. In the fifth, Jimmy Coppin of Brentwood, on top of the pure stocks, finished second.
The most formidable of the divisions has been the limited late models, with a real tussle going on between the first four drivers in the championship race.
This time the form was perfect, as the top four in the division finished as the top four in the main event. It was Ty Duggins, Jeff Silva, Mike Gustafson and Clay Twigg crossing the finish line in their point-position order.
For Duggins, it was his fifth victory in the 11 main events run to date. He opened the card by winning his heat race and advanced to the trophy dash, where he finished second. Then it was the feature win.
Other point leaders to extend their advantages were Ricardo Rivera, dwarf cars; Todd Gomez, super stocks; and Jim Perry III, wingless sprints.
Then there was Coppin, who ran second as the point leader to Mark Wilson in the pure stocks.
The pure stock main event got wild. Officials penalized four of the racers for driving infractions.
Point leader Todd Gomez got his victory over Melissa Hansen of Brentwood, who is the defending champion in the street stocks and currently third in the point race.
Making up the program for this Saturday night are dirt modifieds, dwarf cars, super stocks, pure stocks, mini trucks and four bangers.
