Victories in three of the four All-Star divisions last weekend went to the point leaders in that particular group. Bobby Hogge IV of Seaside emerged the Western Dirt Late Model Tour Champion for the second year in a row when the point racing for the touring division ended Saturday.
The winner of the 30-lap WDLMT main event was Richard Papenhausen of Chico, a clean-sweep winner. He captured his heat, the trophy dash and the main.
Papenhausen, who held off Dino Napier of Merced, has been a frequent visitor to the Antioch Speedway in recent years.
Oakley's Kellen Chadwick, Ty Duggins of Antioch and Ricardo Rivera of San Leandro all won their divisions over the quarter-mile oval. Pure stock point leader Jimmy Coppin of Brentwood was the only one who failed to win the main event.
Drivers in seven divisions will have the opportunity to add to their totals Saturday night with a big racing card. It will include the wingless sprints, limited late models, super stocks, dwarf cars, pure stocks, mini trucks and four bangers.
It's been a banner season for Chadwick in the dirt modifieds. He started 11 main events in several different racers and posted a perfect score by finishing in the top five every time. Chadwick started off the season with four consecutive triumphs in the feature races. He had to settle for a second the next time, but then came two more wins. His victory last weekend was his seventh here.
Duggins and Rivera are defending champions in their divisions. Duggins' feature win last weekend was his seventh in 14 races, giving him 13 top tens and pushing his lead to 56 points.
