As Vince Howell walked onto the ninth tee at Brentwood Golf Club, spectators knew they were in for a treat. The National Long Drive Champion and Brentwood resident approached the ball and made a few practice swings before blasting his shot more than 354 yards with resounding impact. It landed just over the green to set up an eagle chip.
Howell and his East Bay Power professional golf team made their Brentwood debut last Saturday in the fifth tournament in the National Golf League series held at Brentwood Golf Club.
