Tasty tidbits made for full tummies and satisfied clientele during the sixth annual A Taste of Brentwood restaurant tour held Saturday.

"I think it was great," said Waunice Orchid of Napa. While Orchid said she was already stuffed after the third stop (Pasta Cucina) on the tour, she tried all of the restaurants and "they've all been good."

Tourers enjoyed being whisked around to seven different locations in the comfort of a Tri Delta shuttle bus to tickle their tastebuds with a variety of cuisines, including a heaping dollop of Coldstone Creamery ice cream and several varieties of Round Table pizza.

Brentwood resident Jeanette Zanotelli said that she was really impressed with both the Panda Express and Chapala Mexican Restaurant stops on the tour.

But, then again Zanotelli said, "The whole tour was good … I would definitely do it again next year."

Others enjoyed the rustic settings of the Brentwood Olive Oil Company and Gursky's Ranch, where Brentwood Fine Meats and Bloomfield Vineyards set up shop to satisfied tourers' palates.

Guests lined up outside the door of Panda Express, right, awaiting a taste of oriental cuisine.

"This was a quaint setting," Stockton resident Mary Zuck said of the Brentwood Olive Oil Company's rural Empire Avenue location. "It was fun."

Brentwood Olive Oil Company co-owner Lill Navarrette said that they've learned to simplify things after six years of participation in the event. In that way, she said, "Everyone has a good experience.

"It's been a lot of fun," said Navarrette. "We get a lot of people out here who didn't know we were here."

Also serving up a tasty citrus salad and artichoke frittata at the Olive Oil Company's location was the Nines restaurant (formerly Bunkers Grille). "For me," said Nines Food and Beverage Manager Kevin Gordon, "I think it was a huge success. Everybody could see what we've got."

Which is exactly the intent of the sponsors - Brentwood Chamber of Commerce, Kiwanis Club of Brentwood and Tri Delta Transit - to introduce to the community some of the wonderful cuisines that Brentwood has to offer.
