The East Diablo United, a U12 Class I girls competitive soccer team, clinched the Golden State Soccer League title on Nov. 4 with a victory over powerhouse Livermore.

The United needed only a tie with Livermore to win the league title, but the team managed to score the game's only goal in the last four minutes of the game to win 1-0.

The United finished the season with a 7-1-2 record, scoring a league-high 15 goals while giving up only four.

The United players are defenders Rachel Robbert, TC Cooper, Brianna Taomina, Daniella Dubon, goalie Sophia Gumas, midfielders Taylor Allen, Caitlin Cardoza, Viviana Diaz, Anna Carter, Arianna D'Eredita and Selena Gonzalez, and forwards Alicia Palma, Mikayla Monier, McKenzie Cast and Gabriella Withers.

The team is looking for another strong finish in the Nor Cal Premier Soccer League. In January, the United heads into State Cup play.

United coaches are Francisco "Paco" Gonzalez, Jackie Withers and Sharon Cardoza. The team is trained by Joe Owens.
