The Coyotes met up with an extremely talented Yuba City Flood team in the opening game of the tournament. Considered one of the top teams in Northern California, the Flood compiled a 23-2-1 record this season, garnering championship honors in four of the five tournaments it entered. The game ended in a 4-4 tie, after which the Coyotes went on to win three straight in convincing fashion.
In the championship game, the Coyotes once again met up with the Flood. The East County team earned the 3-1 victory behind solid pitching to finish with a 4-0-1 tournament record and the title.
During the fall season, the Coyotes (16-6-1) played in five tournaments and showed constant improvement throughout. The team earned two first-place finishes, two second-place finishes and one third-place finish on the season.
