The Contra Costa Cobras 10U girls fast-pitch traveling softball team placed second at the Turkey Tournament at Modesto's Rainbow Fields late last month. The Cobras entered five tournaments since the season began in mid September but until now had never advanced to the championship game. Against the California Breeze, the Cobras fell 9-4. The Cobra coaches, in the back row from left, are Dan Kaleialii, Craig Jozwiak and Paul Stevens. The players, in the middle row from left, are Kenna Wright, Kyleigh Richardson, Samantha Jozwiak, Alyssa Garcia, Chelsea Montes, Alicea Libbey, Jalyn Gonsalves and Taylor Rose; front row: Kahea Arrieta, Iniki Kaleialii, Mikayla Bower and Amanda Nunez. Next season the Cobras will team up with the East County Hot Shots organization.
