Inez Margaret Allen, 99, died on Jan. 2, 2007. A native of the western New York area, Inez was born on Feb. 2, 1907, to Ernest Oliver and Mary (Stevens) Phillips. After marrying Chester William Allen in 1936, Inez settled down to farming. In 1959, she and Chester moved to Antioch.
Inez was a charter member of Antioch Hillside Baptist Church and was active in many evangelistic outreaches. She was known for her skill in making wedding cakes. After her husband's death, Inez moved to Myerstown, Pa. in 1995.
Surviving are her sister, Vera Wilson of Cornwall, Pa.; brother, Wallace G. Phillips of Brentwood; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph A. Phillips and Valance L. Phillips.
A Celebration of Life was held in Cornwall, Pa. Interment will take place at Memory Gardens Memorial Park in Concord on March 8 at 1:30 p.m.
