Biking at the Fun Run

A family bike ride will be offered this Saturday beginning at 9 a.m. at the Brentwood Community Center as part of the 10th annual Spring to Life Fun Run, Health Expo and Bike Ride.

The bike ride is free to all desiring to participate. Volunteers from the Delta Pedalers will take groups of riders on the one-hour ride that consists mainly of biking along the Marsh Creek Trail. All riders are required to pre-register on Saturday beginning at 8:30 a.m. in the main parking lot near the Community Center.

Bike helmets are required and will be provided by the Brentwood Police Department at no cost for riders who need one. Complimentary bike inspections and tune-ups will also be available, and each rider will receive a participation award.

The Fun Run begins at 8:30 a.m. with the 5K run/walk, followed by the One Mile run/walk at 9:30. An on-site health expo will run from 8:30 to 11 a.m. The fee for adult runners/walkers is $25; $15 for youth 12 and under. To participate in both the 5K and One Mile events, add an additional $10 per runner.

Runners/walkers must check in on race day between 7:15 and 8:15 a.m. Race day registration is also available at this time. Runners should show up no later than 8 a.m. to register on site.

Water and fresh fruit will be provided at the finish line. All pre-registered walkers/runners are guaranteed a T-shirt.
