OBITUARY

Justine C. Duarte

Justine C. Duarte passed away on May 22, 2007. She was born in Oakland and resided almost all of her adult life in Oakley with her loving husband, Joe W. Duarte, who passed away in 2005.

Justine loved traveling with her RV club, cooking and sewing. She belonged to St. Anthony's Guild and S.P.R.S.I. She touched many lives with her great spirit and positive outlook on life. She was a great teacher to her children and grandchildren and was always encouraging them to do their best.

Justine is survived by her two sons, Joseph and Jerry Duarte, and daughter, Margie De Fremery. She is also survived by her brother, John Vierra of Murphys, Calif., eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service Mass was held at St. Anthony's Church in Oakley.
