‘Hairspray’ wins awards

Heritage High School’s production of “Hairspray” was recently honored at the National High School Musical Theatre Awards. The Heritage production won five awards – the most for any school this year.

Drama teacher Chris Fallows won best director, Tammy Vance was honored for costume design, Stacey Dempsey was singled out for choreography, band Director Steve Ernest took home the Student Orchestra Award, and student Laurel Jones picked up Best Featured Actress for her turn as Prudy Pingleton.
