The Oakley City Council has moved the starting times of council and Redevelopment Agency meetings from 7:30 to 6:30 p.m. “Many of the Council Meetings were ending late into the evening – often past 11 p.m.,” said City Manager Bryan Montgomery. “Beginning an hour earlier will allow residents to better participate in the meetings. We have many residents who leave early each morning to commute to work and being at a late City Council Meeting isn’t conducive to that work schedule.”

Agendas for each meeting are found on the city's Web site, and are also posted at City Hall, the “White House” at 204 Second St., and at the post office. Residents may obtain the agendas by e-mail by e-mailing City Clerk Nancy Ortenblad at ortenblad@ci.oakley.ca.us.

The Oakley City Council and Redevelopment Agency Meetings are held on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month, now beginning at 6:30 p.m., at City Hall, 3231 Main St.
