Karla Rodriguez, right, and Noor Abdullah take part in an activity call In Someone Else’s Shoes during a recent bridge-building workshop hosted by You, Me, We Oakley! and Contra Costa Interfaith Supporting Community Organization. Held at St. Anthony Catholic Church, the event helped bring together the immigrant and non-immigrant sectors of the Oakley community to discuss the complex topic of immigration. A panel also discussed the impact and role immigrants make on the community from the perspective of law enforcement, policy and education.
