A not-so-funny thing happened on the way to vacation bliss. Steve and Nonie Greenfield, left, sailed with Jan and Mike McCleery (the Greenfield’s neighbors on Drakes Drive in Discovery Bay) aboard the McCleery’s new boat “Serenity” on the waters of Desolation Sound, Canada. But a couple of days after the Greenfields were seen here with their Discovery Bay Press, they learned that a driver had lost control of her car and rammed into their house – and Steve was forced to cut his trip short. Glad you didn’t leave your Hometown Weekly Newspaper at home, folks. We might have become an entry on our police log page.
