Homeless Animals Response Program (HARP) is conducting a sale on black and white kittens – an Oreo Kitty Sale.

Beginning Aug. 4, HARP is lowering the adoption fee from $100 to $40 in order to sweeten the deal. All black kitties are also included in the special price.

Cats and kittens placed for adoption have been spayed or neutered, are current on vaccinations, and micro-chipped. A large bag of Oreo cookies will go home with the adopter as a special treat for their humans.

All kittens live in foster homes and come to adoption venues on the weekends. The foster families have the insight into the personalities of the kittens that enable the adopter to make the best match possible for the family. For instance, some foster families that care for dogs are aware that kittens will be compatible with cat-friendly dogs.

Look for the Oreo kitties and all HARP cats and kittens available for adoption at the following locations from noon to 3 p.m.:

• Saturdays at Petsmart, 4655 Century Plaza Blvd. in Pittsburg.

• Sundays at Pet Food Express, Slatten Ranch Shopping Center, 5829 Lone Tree Way in Antioch.

• Sundays at Petsmart, Slatten Ranch Shopping Center, Lone Tree Way in Antioch.

Dogs go to Petsmart in Slatten Ranch from noon to 3 p.m. on Sundays.
