LMC academy focus on technology careers

Los Medanos College (LMC) is offering a unique, focused Vocational and Industrial Technology Career Academy during the upcoming fall semester.

The academy will introduce students to careers in automotive repair, electrical appliances, heating and air conditioning, welding, process technology and electrical/instrumentation technology. The academy also provides instruction in basic math and English designed for vocational and industrial careers. This program is free to those who qualify for a Board of Governors Fee Waiver.

Information about the program will be available at free informational sessions on Mondays, Aug. 6 and 13 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the LMC Library Conference Room, L106, 2700 E.
