Former Brentwood resident Gerald Thomas Boudreau passed away July 21 following a courageous battle against cancer. He was 74.

Born and raised in Wheeling, W.Va., Boudreau retired from the East Contra Costa Irrigation District in 2001 after 30 years of employment. He also served as a volunteer firefighter in Brentwood for 20 years.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, JoAnn, and his grandson, Brandon Baker. He is survived by his wife, Carol; children, Kim Baker, Cindy Lorusso and David Boudreau; grandchildren, Jordon and Bria Pastrana, Justin Baker, Vincent Lorusso and Davin Boudreau; and great-granddaughter, Mikaella Pastrana.

A private burial will be held for immediate family at Union Cemetery in Brentwood. Donations may be made to hospice.
