A group of Vintage Parkway volunteers, with support from the City of Oakley, have organized themselves to beautify their neighborhood by repairing damaged fences. The group has been meeting regularly for the past three months, and on Saturday, Sept. 8, volunteers are inviting the community to join in the cleanup effort.

The group will meet at the corner of Vintage Parkway and Big Break Road at 8 a.m. The goal is to paint the stretch of fencing between Big Break Road from Main Street to the Big Break Shoreline and continue east on Vintage Parkway to Piper Lane.

The Delta Lions Club, St. Anthony’s Church Knights of Columbus, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and You, Me, We = Oakley ambassadors have already committed to Saturday’s cleanup.

For more information, call Assistant to the Oakley City Manager Nancy Marquez at 925-625-7007.
