The City of Brentwood celebrates the beginning of construction on the new Universal Abilities Playground at Veterans Park, 3841 Balfour Road, at a groundbreaking event Tuesday, Sept. 18 at 4 p.m. The playground will be East County’s newest play destination for children of all abilities. Light refreshments will be provided. For more information, call the Parks and Recreation office at 925-516-5444.
