A truck passing through Brentwood Saturday morning spilled its load of pallets along Balfour Road and Brentwood Boulevard. Hundreds of pallets were strewn along the road in the truck's wake. The driver of the truck did not stop, but the company has been identified, a source at the scene said.

Police and public works crews clearing the intersection of Brentwood Boulevard and Second Street got an assist from City Council candidate and distance runner Gene Clare, whose bright orange running shirt has been a familiar site on local streets of late and who happened to be running past on his way to the Farmers' Market.
