Bristow Middle School students, from left, Jack Strauss, Allison Koontz, Adriana Ghiozzi and Micah Balingit, out-spelled the competition this month during the school’s annual spelling bee. Allison Koontz, a seventh-grader, took home the overall first-place prize by correctly spelling “goatee.” She will now go on to participate in the county spelling bee in March, and if successful could go on to the national competition in Washington, D.C. Congratulations to all the winners!
