Take Back Antioch founder Brittney Gougeon announced yesterday the organization has raised $7,500 to help rebuild City Park. About $5,574 in online donations, $1,719 from a raffle at Uno Chicago Grill in Antioch and $300 from a spaghetti feed have poured in since a portion of the park was burned on Sept. 17. Lowe’s also donated a $250 gift card, and some of the sales from the weekend of the raffle will be contributed to the fundraising effort. The estimated cost to rebuild the park is $80,000, which is covered by insurance, but the city is responsible for paying a $25,000 deductible. Two teenagers, 14 and 17, were arrested Sept. 28 in connection with the fire. To donate, click here.
