About 100 people are being allowed to return to their homes after being evacuated due to the puncture of a high-pressure gas line by construction crews in Antioch Wednesday.

According to fire officials on scene, a construction crew broke a 4-inch gas line in the 4500 block of Delta Fair Boulevard, forcing the evacuation of homes on nearby Belle Drive. Businesses along Delta Fair have also been evacuated, and traffic is being re-routed.

Police and fire crews are standing by as PG&E works to shut off the gas.

No injuries have been reported.
