The Rotary Club of Brentwood and the Liberty Interact club recently finished the third of their six United States Map projects at R. Paul Krey Elementary School. It’s the club’s goal to paint a 25x40 map of the United States at all the Brentwood Elementary schools before the end of next year.

Once the club finishes in Brentwood, they intend to expand the project to neighboring cities. The school district awarded the club a grant of $1,500 to help offset some of the projects’ costs. The typical project costs about $400.

Rotary has worked closely with the local Ace Hardware, which has made several generous donations to help support Rotary’s efforts. Brentwood Rotary meets at the Brentwood Golf Club Mondays from noon to 1:30 p.m.
