“It’s called Tuolumne Trails/Operation Freedom Paws and it is a retreat for veterans and their families to teach them how to train their own service dogs,” said Operation Creekside founder Ed McClellan. “With over 40,000 troops with varying needs, we need to be supporting them in everything they do in every way we can.”
Tuolumne Trails, an 80-acre camp primarily serving special-needs kids and their families in Groveland, includes a beautiful lodge, six ADA-accessible cabins, a swimming pool, archery range and wheelchair trails. Operation Freedom Paws has already provided free stays at the camp to several local vets.
Winners needn’t be present to win the car, which is being provided by Bill Brandt Ford. The drawing will be held Thursday, Nov. 8 at the Adobe Towers in San Jose. For tickets or more information, call Ed at 925-260-5423.
