The Friends of Oakley want to spread holiday cheer.

The foundation will hold signups next Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday for Oakley families in need of a holiday meal and toys.

Families can register Nov. 14 and 15 from 3 to 7 p.m. or Nov. 17 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the City of Oakley White House Community Annex, 204 Second St.

Registered families will receive non-perishable food, fresh bread and vegetables, a turkey and a wrapped toy for each child up to age 18.

Families must bring either a power or water bill with the family name as proof of Oakley residence, as well as a name and address matching a California driver’s license or identification card. Friends of Oakley will consider special circumstances. One family meal will be provided per residence. Baskets will be distributed on the afternoon of Dec. 16.

For more information, call 925-625-5745.
