Liberty Lion Band Boosters President Travis Martin, center, was recently congratulated by Liberty Principal Pat Walsh, right, and Liberty Union High School District Board President Raymond Valverde for being named Volunteer of the Quarter. Martin, whose daughter Amaris plays alto saxophone in the Liberty band, coordinates fundraisers and hauls instruments, equipment and musicians to rehearsals and performances. Martin was also instrumental in developing Liberty’s drumline camp, which held its first session this summer.
