Winterfest

The holiday fun kicks into high gear at Winterfest, located at the corner of Brentwood Boulevard and Technology Way in Brentwood. Enjoy ice skating, bounce houses and games before you select a Christmas tree from the lot. Skating is $10; tree prices vary. Visits With Santa

Santa Claus stops by Somersville Towne Center, 2556 Somersville Road in Antioch, Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Sundays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. On Saturday and Sunday, Santa hosts his Sweet Retreat from 3 to 5 p.m. where his guests enjoy crafts, face painting, balloon twisting, games and loads of fun. ‘Christmas at the Biltmore’

Celebrate the season with the holiday play “Christmas at the Biltmore,” a heartwarming story about guests who spend their Christmas vacation at the luxurious Biltmore Hotel. Brentwood resident Steve Kinsella wrote the play. Performances, which run through Dec. 8, are held Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m.; Sundays at 2 p.m. in the Theatre at Edna Hill, 140 Birch St. in Brentwood. Christmas Tree Lot

Hendrick’s Christmas Trees, based in Oregon, returns to Resurrection Ministries, 1275 Fairview Ave. in Brentwood. The lot is open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. through Dec. 10 while supplies last. Tree Lighting Ceremony

The City of Brentwood rings in the holiday season with the lighting of a 24-foot Christmas tree at City Park. Festivities begin at 6 p.m. with musical performances and refreshments. The official lighting takes place at 7 p.m. followed by a visit from Santa. For more information, call 925-516-5444.

‘A Christmas Story’

Liberty High School Playmakers present “A Christmas Story” at 7:30 p.m. at the Allan E. Jones Performing Arts Center, 850 Second St. in Brentwood. Relive all your favorite scenes as Ralphie seeks the holy grail of all Christmas presents: a genuine Red Ryder 200-Shot Carbine Action Air Rifle.

Christmas Tree Lot

Oakley Boy Scout Troop 152 holds its annual Christmas tree lot at 3460 Main St. (behind Scheer Home Systems). The Scouts provide quality Noble and Douglas fir trees for sale, as well as fresh wreaths and charming ornaments. Delivery is available. The lot remains open through Dec. 16. Brentwood Festival of Trees

Holiday Home Tour

Hosted by the Liberty Union High School District Education Foundation, the tour visits homes lovingly decked out in old-world finery and festive holiday décor. Oakley Tree Lighting

Join Oakley’s celebration of the season with the lighting of the city’s 30-foot Christmas tree. Festivities include performances by local children’s choirs, make-n-take crafts, games and free refreshments. Santa will be on hand for photo-ops with the kids, so bring your camera. Discovery Bay Parade of Lights

Celebrating its 10th season, the parade begins at 6 p.m. at the Discovery Bay Marina. The parade travels down Marina Road, turns left on Willow Lake Road, right on Riverlake Road, left on Sandpoint Road, left on Discovery Bay Boulevard and ends in the Discovery Bay Shopping Center. The Discovery Bay Lions host their Christmas tree lighting at the shopping center at 7:30 p.m. following the parade.

Antioch Lighted Boat Parade

Decorated boats glide down the Delta at 5:30 p.m. during this annual holiday event. Best-view locations are the Antioch Municipal Pier and along Second Street in the city’s historic downtown district. For more information, call 925-757-2226.

Bethel Island Tree Lighting Ceremony

Bethel Island welcomes the holidays with a tree lighting ceremony at 5 p.m. in the Community Park. The Antioch High School Choir will perform and the Bethel Island Women’s Club will provide yummy treats and warm beverages. Santa arrives at 6 p.m.

Christmas Concert

Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 500 Fairview Ave. in Brentwood, presents its Christmas Gala Concert at 7:45 p.m. The program features sacred and secular solo, choral and instrumental works from various genres. ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’

‘The Nutcracker’

Chanukah Festival

Chabad of the Delta, a Jewish outreach and awareness organization, invites the public to Brentwood’s third annual outdoor Chanukah Festival from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at The Streets of Brentwood, 2565 Sand Creek Road. Held on the second evening of the eight-day holiday, the event features food, music and a fire-juggling show followed by the lighting of a 9-foot-tall menorah (Chanukah candelabra) that will stand for the duration of the holiday.

Christmas Concert
