DEC. 14

Christmas Concert

Antioch SDA Church, 2200 Country Hills Drive in Antioch, hosts a Christmas concert at 7 p.m. The Fountainview Academy performs holiday classics such as “O Holy Night,” “Silent Night” and the “Hallelujah Chorus.”

‘It’s a Wonderful Life’

Stage Right Conservatory Theatre, Inc. presents “It’s a Wonderful Life” at 7 p.m. in the Nick Rodriguez Community Center, 213 F St. in Antioch. “It’s a Wonderful Life” is the saga of George Bailey, the everyman from a small town whose dreams of escape and adventure have been quashed by family obligation and civic duty. George’s guardian angel descends on Christmas Eve to save him from despair and show him what the world would be like without him. Additional performances are held Saturday and Sunday. Winterfest

The holiday fun kicks into high gear at Winterfest, located at the corner of Brentwood Boulevard and Technology Way in Brentwood. Enjoy ice skating, bounce houses and games before you select a Christmas tree from the lot. Skating is $10; tree prices vary. Winterfest is open Mondays through Thursdays from 4 to 10 p.m.; Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.; and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. The fun continues through Jan. 6. Christmas Tree Lot

Oakley Boy Scout Troop 152 holds its annual Christmas tree lot at 3460 Main St. (behind Scheer Home Systems). The Scouts provide quality Noble and Douglas fir trees for sale, as well as fresh wreaths and charming ornaments. Delivery is available. The lot remains open through Dec. 16. Visits With Santa

Santa Claus stops by Somersville Towne Center, 2556 Somersville Road in Antioch, Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Sundays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. On Saturday and Sunday, Santa hosts his Sweet Retreat from 3 to 5 p.m. where his guests enjoy crafts, face painting, balloon twisting, games and loads of fun. Winter Wonderland

Little Miss Everything, 220 Oak St. in Brentwood, hosts a holiday party from 3 to 7 p.m. Festivities include crafts, sing-alongs, festive treats and gift raffles. For more information, call 925-513-4700.

Visit With Santa

Prudential Realty, 14810 Highway 4, Suite A in Discovery Bay, hosts a meet-and-greet with Santa from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Kids can dive into the coloring contest while they wait their turn to meet the big guy in red. Photos with Santa are complimentary.

Santa Paws

Pets can celebrate the holidays, too. Homeless Animals’ Lifeline Organization has invited Santa to Pet Food Express, 5829 Lone Tree Way in Antioch, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. to meet with your four-legged friends and pose for pictures. For more information, visit www.eccchalo.org.

Christmas Cantata

Brentwood Community United Methodist Church, 809 Second St., presents Festival of Carols, a rediscovering of joy, peace and love of Christmas, at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free to this musical celebration of the true meaning of Christmas. Santa’s Workshop

Come see Santa arrive on the Polar Express at Sand Creek Crossing (aka Raley’s shopping center) in Brentwood. Festivities, which run from noon to 3 p.m., feature face painting, a magic show, holiday crafts, train rides and photos with Santa. For more information, visit www.sandcreekcrossing.com.

Visit With Santa

Prudential Realty, 3775 Main St., Suite G in Oakley, hosts a meet-and-greet with Santa from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Bring a canned food item or a new, unwrapped toy for Prudential’s holiday food and toy drive and receive a free picture with Santa.

Breakfast With Santa

Diablo Valley Assembly 84 International Order of the Rainbow for Girls hosts its Breakfast With Santa fundraiser from 8 a.m. to noon at the Antioch-Brentwood Masonic Hall, 521 W. Lighted Boat Parade

‘The Nutcracker’

DEC. 16

Interfaith Christmas Choral Festival

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2350 Jeffrey Way in Brentwood, hosts a choral festival at 7 p.m. Scheduled performers include the Seventh Day Adventist Hilltop Christian School Treble Choir and Handbell Ringers, Brentwood Methodist Church Choir, St. John’s Lutheran Church Choir, Brentwood Community Chorus and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Tongan Choir and Antioch Stake. Holiday Pet Photos

Your furry friends can meet Santa Claus from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Antioch Petsmart, 5879 Lone Tree Way, or the Antioch Pet Food Express, 5829 Lone Tree Way. Photos with Santa cost $10; proceeds benefit the Homeless Animal Response Program.

Christmas Open House

Winter Craft Time
