The East Bay Regional Park District’s Big Break Visitor Center at the Delta invites the public to its first round of regularly scheduled nature programs at the Center in January and February.

Beginning Saturday, Jan. 19, every Saturday (from 11 a.m. to noon) and Sunday (from 2 to 3 p.m.), Big Break offers a Delta Discoveries! program, tailored especially to families. Earlier risers are welcome to join the regular Saturday-Sunday (9 to 10 a.m.) Testing the Waters research project, during which they’ll head out to the field to track various parameters of the water quality of Big Break Regional Shoreline, such as dissolved oxygen, pH and turbidity. The group will record the changes that impact this vital system.
