The Delta reveals wonders to those willing to seek it, and the Big Break Visitor Center in Oakley is offering an exciting lineup of Delta Discovery programs every Saturday and Sunday in January and February. The activities are tailored especially to families, who will discover the hidden world of Big Break through games, activities and explorations. There is no charge for admission, and no registration is required.

Also on Saturdays and Sundays, from 9 to 10 a.m., Delta adventurers can participate in the citizen-science project Testing the Waters, which monitors the health of the Delta by tracking various parameters of the water quality of Big Break Regional Shoreline. The group will record the changes in such factors as dissolved oxygen, pH and turbidity that impact this vital ecosystem.
