Age-appropriate art skills and concepts are introduced in a playful, encouraging setting. The fee for this six-week class is $64.30 for residents ($96.50 non-residents) plus a $10 materials fee payable to the instructor.

Drawing Master Class for Teens

Designed for ages 13 through 18, the class meets Feb. 5 through March 12 on Tuesdays from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Students will strengthen their skills and refine their personal drawing style in this fun and challenging class. Exploring a wide variety of themes, projects will focus on linework, composition, perspective, 3-D form, light and shadow, color and human proportions. Media will include pencil, markers, pen and wash, charcoal and pastel. The fee for this six-week class is $83.80 for residents ($143.70 non-residents) plus a $20 materials fee payable to the instructor.

Art Time Machine

Designed for ages 6 through 10, the class meets Feb. 6 through March 13 on Wednesdays from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Students jump into an imaginary time machine to be inspired by art of the past, present and future. Each week focuses on a different era or master artist through fun projects that let students create original interpretations of a theme. Media will include drawing, painting, printmaking and collage. The fee for this six-week class is $64.30 for residents ($96.50 non-residents) plus a $10 materials fee payable to the instructor.

Advanced Drawing

Designed for ages 8 through 12, the class meets Feb. 6 through March 13 on Wednesdays from 5 to 6:30 p.m. This class takes the skills of students already experienced in realistic drawing to the next level. Projects focus on observation, proportion, composition, perspective, three-dimensional form and texture. Students explore pen and pencil techniques, charcoal and pastel while learning to enhance realism and develop their own personal style. The fee for this six-week class is $83.80 for residents ($143.70 non-residents) plus a $20 materials fee payable to the instructor.
