Heritage High’s boys volleyball varsity and JV squads both dominated Pittsburg High on March 17, allowing the Pirates to score only a few measly points.

The varsity won 3-0 (25-5, 25-7, 25-7) in a brief game played mostly from the service line. Despite losing two starters to spring break, the team stepped up to the net and showed it could compensate for the absences.

Michael Favalora made six assists, four digs, two aces and two kills; Jacob Fredrickson notched 11 digs, eight aces, two kills and two assists; and Josh Ibarra racked up nine digs and four kills.

The junior varsity was just as overwhelming, winning 2-0 (25-4, 25-5). Strong serving closed out the match in 20 minutes. Logan Jones rifled 12 aces and made four digs, while Joe Yourish finished with five digs and two aces.
