Pauline Soldavini was fêted on the occasion of her 102nd birthday at Westmont of Brentwood on Friday, Feb. 1. In attendance at the event were Pauline’s family, the residents and staff of Westmont, Brentwood Mayor Bob Taylor, City Councilman Gene Clare, California Assemblyman Jim Frazier and performer Felipe Gutierez.

Pauline was born in Italy and immigrated to the United States as a young girl with her father and two sisters. The family settled in California, where Pauline married her husband Andrew Soldavini. The couple had one daughter, Rosetta. Widowed in 1972, Pauline lived for many years in El Cerrito and moved to Oakley to be nearer to family. Pauline has three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Always a busy person and a hard worker, Pauline continues to enjoy walks, group exercise, activities and social gatherings daily with her friends and family at Westmont. Pauline’s positive outlook, love and compassion touch the lives of everyone around her.
