The City of Brentwood seeks youth 11-18 and adult advisors to serve two-year terms, beginning July 1, as commissioners or advisors on the Brentwood Youth Commission.

Founded in 1999, the commission comprises 10 students and three adult advisors who care about the Brentwood community and possess the drive to make our community the best possible place for youth.

The commission has organized youth-oriented events such as middle-school dances, a teen survey, and participates in various city events. Commission members represent area middle and high schools and must reside in the City of Brentwood.

Applicants may pick up an application at the City of Brentwood Parks and Recreation Department office or online at www.brentwoodca.gov (click on the link for Youth Commission). Applications must be submitted by Friday, April 5 at 5 p.m. in Parks and Recreation Department office, 35 Oak St. Applicants are encouraged to observe a Youth Commission meeting on either March 6 or April 3 at 7 p.m. in the Brentwood Council Chambers, 150 City Park Way.
