The Knightsen Elementary School District Board of Trustees will appoint an individual to complete the term of Kristen Rhiner, which ends in December of 2014.

Applicants must be residents of the Knightsen Elementary School District, be over the age of 18, not be involved in a business or own property (other than a house) that might constitute a financial conflict with the district, and stand for re-election in November of 2014.

Regular board meetings are held on the second and fourth Wednesday of the month. Board members are not paid a stipend for their services, but may purchase medical, dental and vision benefits from the district. Board members may also pay for the coverage of family members.

Completed applications must be submitted to the district office prior to 3:30 p.m. on April 5. Members of the community may submit additional input regarding candidates in writing prior to the April 10 meeting or in person at the meeting.

Applicants will be asked to take part in an open interview at the board meeting on April 10 at 7 p.m. Open deliberation at the meeting will be part of the selection process. The board’s selection for the open position will be made at the April 10 meeting.
