The Contra Costa County Probation Department organized an early-morning warrant sweep Thursday in East County, resulting in 10 arrests and the seizure of drug paraphernalia and two firearms.

The sweep involved more than 50 officers drawn from the Brentwood, Antioch, Pittsburg and Oakley police departments; the Contra Costa County Probation Department, Sheriff’ and District Attorney’s offices; plus ICE and the FBI.

“In the interest of community safety, it is a priority for law enforcement to actively participate in coordinated community supervision,” said County Probation Officer Philip Kader. “Our goal is to make Contra Costa County safer in an effort to improve the quality of life.”
