Nine local businesses got a leg up on the world of commerce March 30 when they graduated from the New Venture Training program, sponsored by the City of Brentwood and the Brentwood Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with the Contra Costa Small Business Development Center. The 12-week business management program focused on developing a business plan and providing the basic business education required to implement the plan. Funding for the program ($10,000) is provided through a grant from the City’s Business License Grant program. The graduates above (in no particular order) include Lorenzo Zesati (Compu Enterprises), Shirley Trainor (Simply Sensational Events and Catering), Kathi Regan (Maxx Worms), Davis Fraser (Heaven Forbid), Cathy Woods (Raising the Bar Carpet Care), Trina Rodriguez (Salon Vitor), Alan Joy (Joy Custom Woodworking), Kerri Fritsch (Monogramming by Frichy), Jeff Fritsch (Brentwood Solar) and instructor Jeff Hall of the Contra Costa Small Business Development Center.

This was an amazing experience! If you are opening a business or currently have one, you should invest your time in this class! I learned more in this 12 week program than I did in my 4 years at a University!!! Thank You Jeff Hall!
