Congratulations to the 10U East County Hot Shots, who took second place in last weekend’s Nuts About Softball tournament in Modesto. What a way to start off the season.

The Hot Shots will be sponsoring a fast-pitch softball clinic, led by by Debbie Nelson, for girls 9 through 13 on Friday, May 8 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Magnolia Park, located on Lavender Way in Oakley.

The first 100 girls to sign up will receive a free T-shirt. Sign-ups take place at the fields on Tuesday, April 28, or Friday, May 1 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The cost is $20 per child.

For more information, call Jozwiak at 925-550-2227 or visit www.eastcountyhotshots.com, where you’ll also find pictures of the Hot Shots’ new academy on Main Street in Oakley.
