Ingeborg Hogue beams as she completes her recent blood donation at Delta Community Presbyterian Church. Ingeborg made her gift of life in record time (four minutes, 30 seconds) and helped make the church’s fifth blood drive a success. Discovery Bay residents are encouraged to support the next blood drive, scheduled for June 20. Donor requirements are simple: you must be at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds and bring a photo ID. The need is constant, and the gratification is instant.
