Things recently got a little hairy for Krey Elementary School principal Brian Jones – or less hairy, depending on how you look at it.

Jones thought of a great incentive to motivate his students to read: He set a goal for the students to read 1 million words. If they reached that goal, he would get his hair shaved Mohawk-style and dyed red.

Well, the kids made it, and earlier this month Jones paid his debt. Jennifer Holden, who has no experience cutting hair, did the honors of creating Jones’ new look.

Congratulations to all the Coyotes who read enough to make it possible, and to Jones for being such a good sport and following through.
