Beloved husband, devoted father, loving son and brother.

Dennis was born on Nov. 19, 1966 in Idaho Falls, Idaho and passed from this life on May 9, 2009 in Brentwood.

In 1971, his family moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, where he attended local schools and graduated from high school in 1984.

His love for the outdoors started early and lasted throughout his lifetime. He loved to read, learn and teach. He touched many lives with his beautiful smile and his gentle warm spirit and positive outlook.

He married his soul mate, Christine Stott, on March 12,1988. She shared his love for life. They have four beautiful children: Benjamin, Alexander, Elizabeth and Sarah. He shared all his adventures with his family – fishing, hiking, boating, skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, sailing and windsurfing. He rode and raced bikes (BMX and Moto Cross) with his children.

The family moved to Brentwood in 2004.

Patrick’s career in the automotive collision industry was defined by the contribution he made to the industry by way of teaching and coaching. He held numerous offices in the industry’s professional associations.

He is survived by his wife, Cris, and their children, Ben, Alex, Elizabeth and Sarah; his parents, Dennis R. and Andra Packer of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; brother, Jonathan R. Packer of Portland, Ore.; and many loved family members: Bob and Pat Nosack of Sandy, Utah; Verl Stott of Midvale, Utah; and Laurie Stott of Salt Lake City, Utah.

Patrick has described his life perfectly in a few words he wrote recently: “Life, what an adventure!”

About me:

I married the girl with a special something that still drives me crazy and we have four great children … Ben, Alex, Liz and Sarah. I do my best to provide an enjoyable adventure for these five souls … they are everything to me.

A celebration of Patrick’s life was held Saturday, May 16 at the LDS Church in Brentwood. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations to The Dennis Patrick Packer Memorial Fund be sent to Bank of the West, 4540 Balfour Road, Brentwood, CA 94513.
