Library move to begin

The Brentwood Community Library will close on Thursday, June 4 and reopen on Monday, June 22 at its new home, 104 Oak St., across from its current location.

Customers may return materials at the current library through Sunday, June 7. After that, items should be returned in the book drop adjacent to the new library.

Starting June 4, patrons can pick up hold items at the Oakley Community Library (inside Freedom High School at 1050 Neroly Road in Oakley). The phone number is 925-625-2400, and the hours are Tuesday and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Thursday from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.; and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

While the Brentwood branch is closed, the closest full-service libraries will be the Oakley and Antioch facilities. The Antioch Community Library is located at 501 W. 18th St. The phone number is 925-757-9224, and the hours are Monday through Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Thursday from noon to 8 p.m.; Friday from noon to 6 p.m.; and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
