Remember that surprise rainy spell at the beginning of this month?

Well, we now know how it happened. Blame it on the Liberty High School Key Club, who, with help from its sponsoring Brentwood Kiwanis Club, held a weekend car wash. That’s all it took for the skies to open up.

The good-hearted people of Brentwood, however, turned out in sufficient numbers to raise $83 worth of car washes, and support other activities (such as a bake sale) that brought in a total of $173, despite the drizzle.

Thanks, Brentwood!
