Hazel Clemons, 85, a 72-year resident of Brentwood, passed away on May 29, 2009. She was the beloved mother of George and Robert Clemons; devoted grandmother of six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Hazel was preceded in death by her loving husband Earl and daughter Mildred. Hazel was born in Paul’s Valley, Okla. and moved with her family to California in 1937. Hazel and Earl were married in October of 1939.

Hazel enjoyed crocheting, quilting and baking. Most of all, she enjoyed caring for her family. She was a devoted member of the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church of Oakley.

Friends and family attended a viewing at the Brentwood Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 2. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, June 3, at Union Cemetery in Brentwood. A memorial service followed at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Oakley.
