The Brentwood Boys II 13U baseball team brought home the first-place trophy in the annual Playing for Peanuts tournament at Rainbow Fields in Modesto.

The Boys went 3-1, including 2-0 on Sunday in elimination-bracket play. Jared Baur, Ray Ferronato, and Cole Gravitt made strong showings from the mound, and Baur aided his cause at the plate with a team-leading .600 batting average. Ferronato, Gabe Hallady, Brian Rodas and Mike Wagaman each hit .500, and Josh Foisy hit .400. Nick Solis was the defensive MVP.

The entire team contributed to the wins with stellar defense and pitching, as well as timely situational hitting.
